NORWALK, Conn. (WTHR) - A Tesla in auto-pilot mode hit the back of a state police car in Connecticut Saturday.
Connecticut state police shared pictures from the scene in Norwalk on Interstate 95.
State police say troopers were stopped to deal with a disabled vehicle in the center lane when the Tesla crashed into the cruiser.
They say the Tesla then hit the disabled vehicle.
State police say the car kept going for several hundred feet before it was stopped.
According to troopers, the driver of the Tesla said he had his vehicle on "auto-pilot" and was checking on his dog in the back seat before the collision.
No serious injuries were reported from the crash.
