BEL AIR, Maryland (WTHR) - A bank teller in Maryland is accused in a home invasion after the resident removed "a large amount of money" from the bank.
Harford County sheriff’s detectives say they investigated a home burglary on November 11. The report said a male rang the doorbell, then forced his way inside when someone opened the door. The suspect assaulted a resident until another resident intervened.
The suspect fled before police arrived.
The sheriff says investigators learned that one of the victims had made a large cash withdraw prior to the burglary. Officers found evidence identifying a Nathan Michael Newell, 19, a teller at the bank, as a the suspect.
Newell is charged with several felony offenses and was being held without bail.
