A brand new exhibit has been unveiled on the flight desk of the USS Lexington, a World War II-era aircraft carrier that has been turned into a museum in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The exhibit is an F-9-F Cougar, a 1950's fighter jet, that has been painted pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The plane was unveiled Monday on board the ship more commonly known as the "Lady Lex."

The pink Cougar is the first of its kind to be displayed on board a Navy vessel.

The plane will be on display until the end of the month, when it will be power-washed and restored to its original finish.
