According to reports by pest-control company Orkin, Indianapolis is in the top 20 nationally in terms of rat infestation.
The company released it's "Top 50 Rattiest Cities" on Monday. The Circle City was one of 13 midwest cities to make the Top 50.
Orkin says they ranked the cities based on the number of rodent treatments the company performed in each city between October 1, 2015 and September 30, 2016.

The company says that their research shows 40% of people report having a rodent problem at some point.
Orkin says you should make sure to seal any small holes and cracks around the outside of your home to prevent rodents from coming to your home. Also, cut back trees and bushes to at least three feet from your home to prevent rodents an access point to gutters, the roof, or other access points.
