NEWNAN, GA (WXIA) - A hit and run suspect in Georgia led police on a dangerous high speed chase in Newnan.

Officials were called to a scene after a black Mercedes Benz involved in a fender-bender drove away from the accident.

They later saw the same car driving past them and began to peruse.

That pursuit led authorities on a wild chase through Newnan, with the driver running stop signs, going over 100 miles per hour, and even driving on the wrong side of the road.

Officials were able to stop the car by using a pit maneuver to slow the vehicle down.

The driver, 23-year-old Breanna Rothwell, was arrested and booked on multiple charges, including possession of meth and cocaine, forgery, speeding, and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

She is currently in the Coweta County jail in Georgia.
