DES PLAINES, Ill. (WTHR) - As Chicago Cubs fans continue to bask in the afterglow of their World Series win, some Cubs fans made the pilgrimage to famous announcer Harry Carey's grave.
In a photo tweeted by ESPN's Mark Schlabach, Caray's grave is adorned with several Cubs-related items, a bag of Cracker Jack and several bushels of green apples.
One of Caray's most famous quotes about the Cubs is "As sure as God made green apples, someday the Chicago Cubs are going to be in the World Series, and maybe sooner than we think."
