Dairy Queen employees hope to reunite little girl, stuffed animal she left behind

The little girl lost her beloved stuffed animal while visiting a Dairy Queen in Seminole County, Florida.

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (WTHR) — A Florida restaurant is snapping pictures and posting daily to reunite a stuffed pink pooch with its rightful owner.

The little girl lost her beloved stuffed animal while visiting a Dairy Queen in Seminole County, Florida.

Store manager Ryan Allen said the girl and her mom realized they left the toy behind after they left. But when they returned, workers couldn't find it.

"It wasn't until later we could actually find the dog," Allen said.

Employees found the pink-eared pooch while they were cleaning up, and after that started a Facebook campaign to get the dog back to is owner. Each day, Dairy Queen has the dog on a new adventure.

"I told them to take pictures every day," Allen said. "Let's try to get this dog back to this little girl."

Allen said he relates to the situation because he has a 3-year-old son.

"It touched me just because I know if it were my son, I would want to get this back."

Allen hopes to reunite the dog with the little girl, but until then, he's taking good care of it.

"Your little puppy is in good hands, and we'll take care of her until you can come," he said.
