INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Americans apparently have strong feelings about their pizza, but none are stronger than Chrissy Teigen.
Hours after Eyewitness News tweeted a story about Pizza Hut's plans to close about 500 dine-in restaurants, the model/author/TV personality shared her feelings on the news.
"f--- this. I love them because I like to see my toppings on top of the cheese. long live hut. but also let's work on your sauces," Teigen tweeted.
She followed that tweet reminding people to support their favorite businesses before it's too late.
"we never support s--- til it's gone and quite frankly I'm TIRED OF IT," she wrote.
Teigen wasn't the only national name to comment on the WTHR story. Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang tweeted, "the pizzeria of the future exists on your phone and in a car that delivers it to you."
The story has been a topic of conversation all day, both for Pizza Hut fans and those who aren't going to shed a tear when hundreds of stores shut down.
A Twitter Moment about the news let others share their memories and emotions of dine-in Pizza Hut restaurants.
