NAVARRE BEACH, Fla. (WTHR) — Beach goers in northern Florida got a bit of a scare Tuesday when a shark was spotted in shallow waters.
Navarre Beach Fire Rescue posted photos of the hammerhead shark, estimated to be about 13 feet long, on Facebook.
The fire department later shared videos from people who were at the beach at the time showing just how close it was to the shore.
One video showed the shark eating some prey it caught.
Navarre Beach is about 25 miles east of Pensacola in Florida's panhandle.
