INDIANAPOLIS — One of the candidates running to be the next governor of Indiana has become the first to file for ballot access.
Eric Doden and his campaign announced Wednesday that they had gathered over 6,000 verified signatures from all 92 Indiana counties in order to file a petition for ballot access in May's Republican primary election.
“Our movement is leading this race, and I couldn’t be prouder of our grassroots, people-powered campaign,” said Doden in a written statement. “I’m incredibly grateful for our team and volunteers for their work to make us the first campaign on the ballot and for believing in our bold vision to make Hoosier’s lives better.”
Doden is expected to be joined on the Republican ballot with Sen. Mike Braun, Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch, former Attorney General Curtis Hill and Indiana Secretary of Commerce Brad Chambers.
