Early voting satellite sites now open across Marion County

Early voting is happening now until Election Day on Nov. 5, including weekends.

INDIANAPOLIS — Hoosiers are taking advantage of being able to hit the polls before Election Day.

Hundreds of people were standing in line Saturday afternoon to make their voices heard at the Perry Township Government Center, which is one of the early voting spots in Marion County.

As of Friday, there have been more than 19,000 people who have voted early in this election. During this time four years ago, the early voting numbers in Marion County were around 28,000.

One man told 13News he had come earlier to vote, but the line was long.

"I saw a crowd that went all around the building and down the side and the front. It was huge," said James Myers.
