INDIANAPOLIS — Voters approved several school referendums on ballots in central Indiana Tuesday.
In Carmel, voters passed an operating referendum by a nearly 2 to 1 margin.
Voters in the Hamilton Southeastern school district also voted in favor of a referendum with 70% of the vote.
Also in Hamilton County, Sheridan voters overwhelmingly approved a referendum for Sheridan Community Schools with more than 80% of voters casting a "yes" vote.
It was the same story in West Lafayette, where a referendum for that city's school district passed with 80% of the vote.
In Monroe County, voters also approved a referendum for the Monroe County Community School Corporation by a 55% to 45% margin.
