Noblesville, March 31, 2004 - A Noblesville teen is dead from a car-motorcycle crash.  Hamilton County deputies responded to the accident on Cumberland Road north of 206th Street shortly after 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night.

Police say sixteen-year-old Kyle Benson was apparently test driving a Honda motorcycle, traveling south on Cumberland.  Police say the bike's lights were not working and it was raining heavily.

When Holly Foreman backed her Pontiac minivan out of her driveway, Benson struck the right rear quarter of the van.  He was not wearing a helmet and was unconscious at the scene.  Benson was later pronounced dead at Riverview Hospital.

Police say Benson did not own the bike.  He and several friends had been working on the motorcycle for several days and finally got it to run.
