Shelbyville - Police in Shelbyville released new information about the murder of a Shelbyville woman this weekend.
The suspect, Danny Quick, makes his first appearance in court Monday afternoon for the murder of Theresa McEwan.
Authorities say Quick walked into the police station Saturday morning and said he had seriously injured McEwan. Officers found her dead on the floor of her apartment.
The police chief says the suspect and victim were friends, but authorities don't have a motive for the crime.
The coroner plans an autopsy Monday to determine the cause of death.
