INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — The United States Postal Service is now selling a charity stamp that will raise funds for those affected by post-traumatic stress disorder.

The "Healing PTSD" stamp features an illustration of a green plant sprouting from the ground. The ground is covered with fallen leaves.

The image, which symbolizes the PTSD healing process, was made available to the public this week.

"Tens of millions of Americans will experience PTSD in their lifetimes. Today, the nation is increasingly dedicated to compassionately treating this mental health issue," USPS wrote in a release last month.

The stamp sells for 65 cents and part of the proceeds will go to fund PTSD research.
