WASHINGTON, USA — The Powerball jackpot is growing even larger after no one won the grand prize in Monday night's $534 million drawing.
While no one hit the jackpot, a single ticket in Virginia correctly matched the five white ball numbers to win $1 million.
The next drawing on Wednesday offers players a chance at $559 million in annuity payments or a $273.3 million cash payout.
There is a combined $1.2 billion up for grabs this week between current Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots.

The winning numbers were 1-3-7-16-66, Powerball 5, Power Play 5X.
If a winner matches all five numbers and the Powerball, they have the option to take the full jackpot paid out over 30 years, or a smaller cash payout. Winners almost always take the cash option.
Monday night's prize was initially estimated to be $532 million, but was announced at the time of the drawing to be $534 million.
Even with the smaller lump sum payout, federal taxes will eat into those winnings, and some states also tax big lottery prizes. Powerball is played in 45 states, as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
When is the Powerball drawing?
The Powerball drawing takes place live at 10:59 p.m. Eastern every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Tickets, which cost $2 per play, are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
