ASHTABULA, Ohio (WBNS) – An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper has passed away following complications with childbirth, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Retirees’ Association website.
The website said 38-year-old Alison Holmgren, an active trooper with the Ashtabula Patrol Post in the northeast part of the state, passed after the birth of her second child on Feb. 15.
Her daughter was born healthy and has no issues, according to the website.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
