HOUSTON (WTHR) — A 4-year-old Texas girl found dead in Arkansas will be laid to rest this weekend.
Maleah Davis' father posted photos of his daughter's colorful custom casket on Instagram Wednesday. The casket features a "My Little Pony" theme, with a photo of the young girl riding "Rainbow Dash" — a character on the children's cartoon — on the lid.
Other characters from the show and rainbows adorn the sides of the casket, which also includes Maleah's name. The inside of the casket includes bright colors and more ponies.
Craig Davis posted the photos with a series of heart emojis in his Instagram post.
His daughter will be laid to rest on Saturday.
Maleah was reported missing May 4 by her stepfather, Derion Vence. He was arrested a week later for tampering with evidence. A community activist said Vence confessed to him that he had dumped the girl's body in Arkansas after she died in an accident.
The cause of Maleah's death remains under investigation, KPRC reported.
