Mooresville, March 1, 2006 – Police say speed may have been a factor in an early morning accident that killed a Mooresville man.
Police say David L. Filbey was not wearing a seat belt when he lost control of his Ford Focus and hit a vacant building near the intersection of Old State Road 67 and Indianapolis Road shortly before 7 a.m.
Filbey leaves behind a wife and three children. An autopsy is scheduled to determine if Filbey suffered a medical problem while driving.
