INDIANAPOLIS — A Peru man is half-a-million dollars richer after winning a fast play game.
According to the Hoosier Lottery, Dave Click purchased a $5 Lightning Cash Fast Play game at the Peru Pantry located at 286 W. Main St. in Peru. Click saw 22 lightning bolts on his play card, meaning he had won the $588,054 jackpot.
While still in shock at what had happened, Click called his wife, who was asleep, to tell her the good news. His wife initially believed Click was playing a prank on her.
Eventually, the win was confirmed and Click was still in disbelief. He frequently asked his wife "Do you really think I won?"
The Hoosier Lottery says the Lightning Cash Fast Play jackpot began at $15,000 and grew to its winning value over time.
