DANVILLE, Ind. — A Danville man has won an over $700,000 jackpot from the Extreme Green Fast Play game.

According to the Hoosier Lottery, Dwight Lindley has been playing the lottery since 1989 and has dreamed many times of winning a big jackpot. He stopped at the Smokers Choice store located at 729 N. Green St. in Brownsburg to buy his usual lottery ticket.

Lindley typically purchases a few Fast Play and Quick Draw tickets whenever he visits the store. This time, he bought a $10 Extreme Green Fast Play game. Lindley normally scans his own tickets, but this particular time, he elected to let the clerk scan his tickets.

When the clerk saw that one of the tickets was a winner, her eyes widened. She scanned the ticket several more times just to confirm it was indeed a winner.

According to the Hoosier Lottery, the jackpot victory was emotional for Lindley because he is battling some health issues. Lindley says he plans to use his winnings to make sure his family is financially secure for the future and also enjoy retirement.

“Happiness is the most important thing in life,” Lindley said. “And if this win allows the people I love to be even happier, I’m all for it.”
