2 big-winning Powerball tickets sold in Indiana

Both tickets are worth $50,000 according to the Hoosier Lottery.

INDIANAPOLIS — Lottery players in southern Indiana and central Indiana should check their tickets!

The Hoosier Lottery says two winning Powerball tickets worth $50,000 were sold in Indiana, one from Saturday night and another for Monday night's drawings. 

The winning Saturday ticket was sold at Depot Express located at 128 West McClain Avenue in Scottsburg, while the winning Monday ticket was sold at Strough's Market at 624 North Madison Street in Fortville. 

The Hoosier Lottery reminds anyone in possession of these tickets to make sure they are in a safe and secure place and to consider meeting with a financial advisor immediately. Winners can contact Hoosier Lottery customer service at 1-800-955-6886 for specific instructions on how to claim their winnings. 

The winning Powerball numbers for Saturday, Sept. 14 were 29-34-28-48-56 with a Powerball of 16 while winning Powerball numbers for Monday, Sept. 16 were 8-9-11-27-31 with a Powerball of 17.

The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday, Sept. 18 is estimated at $176 million. Overall Powerball odds are 1 in 25.
