GREENE COUNTY, Ind. — A woman is hospitalized for head injuries after a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on Interstate 69 in Greene County.

On Sept. 3, Indiana State Police said a 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by a 55-year-old man from Reidsville, North Carolina, was heading southbound on the interstate near the 101-mile marker before going left into the median.

Police said the pickup truck continued in the median before the driver overcorrected and "yawed off" to the right side of the interstate. The pickup truck then drove into a ditch, up an embankment and rolled.

Emergency services personnel, firefighters from the Center Township Fire Territory and ISP responded to the crash.

The front seat passenger of the pickup truck, a 57-year-old woman from Reidsville, North Carolina, was treated for a head injury and flown via helicopter to Eskenazi Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
