INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The Indiana Department of Transportation has major construction work scheduled in Marion County this weekend.
Road crews will continue to repair winter damage and lay new pavement in five different zones around Indianapolis interstates.
Drivers should plan ahead this weekend to find alternate routes to the airport and downtown.
Full closures include:
INDOT employs full closures to maximize work in a short amount of time. In addition to paving work, maintenance crews will take advantage of the full closures to clear out drains, fix guardrails, change lights and get other work done.
Lane Restrictions include:
- I-69 north from 82nd St. to S.R. 37 - Left 2 lanes closed 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday
- I-465 eastbound from Keystone to White River - Left two lanes closed 9 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday
- I-465 southbound from Fall Creek to Pendleton Pike - 1 lane open 9 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday
- I-65 in both directions from I-465 to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. on the northwest side of downtown - 2 lanes open in each direction starting Friday at 9 p.m.
- I-865 in both directions - 2 lanes open eastbound, 1 lane open westbound Friday at 9 p.m. to Monday at 6 a.m.
- I-465 southbound from the I-65 interchange to 56th St on the orthwest side - 1 lane open Friday 9 p.m. to Saturday 6 a.m. with 2 lanes open Saturday at 9 p.m. to Sunday at 6 a.m.

- Entrance ramps from 56th St to I-465 southbound and entrance ramps from Pendleton Pike to I-465 southbound - Friday at 9 p.m. to Sunday at 1 p.m.
