GREENWOOD, Ind. (WTHR) — On Tuesday morning, the Whiter River Township Fire Department responded to a fire on the town's southwest side.
Firefighters reported heavy fire, much of which could be seen coming from the roof.
The resident, who made it out safely, reported hearing a loud sound and lights briefly flickering before the blaze started.
Damage to the home is significant as the house is valued at $325,000.
Authorities believe the fire was weather-related though investigators are still on the scene.
