INDIANAPOLIS — Many children will have a warmer holiday season, thanks to the generosity of volunteers and a west side fire department.
In a Facebook post, the Wayne Township Fire Department said that, while their annual gift drive had to be canceled, they worked with the township trustee and local daycares to deliver blankets, pillows, gloves, hats and socks for dozens of kids.
Two hundred "winter warm pack"' were delivered Monday to three of the township's largest daycare facilities for distribution.
