RICHMOND, Ind. — Indiana State Police is investigating the death of in an inmate at the Wayne County Jail Friday morning.
Staff at the jail discovered 36-year-old Andrew Taylor unresponsive and rendered medical attention, but Taylor was pronounced dead at the jail. Shortly before 5 a.m., Wayne County Sheriff Randy Ritter requested the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division investigate Taylor's death.
The investigation is ongoing and Taylor's family has been notified of his death, state police said.
