INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Metro Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened on the northeast side of Indianapolis Monday afternoon.
The Marion County coroner confirmed 32-year-old Montize Coe died in the shooting.
Officers were called to the 2800 block of Station Street, near East 30th Street and North Sherman Drive, around 5 p.m. Monday on a report of a person shot. They arrived on scene and found Coe suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Medics pronounced Coe dead at the scene.
Police have not yet released information about a possible suspect or motive. Detectives canvassed the area around the shooting for evidence and witnesses.
