LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WTHR) - The Cass County Sheriff's Department says two people are dead and another person critically injured after a train hit an SUV Friday.
Police identified the driver who survived as 22-year-old Bradley Graves of Logansport. He was taken by air ambulance to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
The two people killed in the crash were Stefanie Carter, 42 and Nathan Gibbs, 19, both of Logansport. The two men were Carter's sons.
The crash happened near Logansport Road and County Road 800 East.
According to our newsgathering partners at the Logansport Pharos-Tribune, say a Kia Sportage was struck shortly after 4 p.m.
Police told the newspaper the investigation was "pretty cut and dry, believing the SUV's driver failed to yield to the train at the crossing.
