INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - You may have heard that former Indianapolis sports radio host Jake Query is looking for a job.
That process hasn't prevented him from taking time to help others.
After news of his show cancellation began to spread, Query used the spotlight to bring attention to a fundraiser to benefit a north side gas station clerk.
Query happened upon the robbery in progress and learned the next day that the clerk was already back at work because he could not afford to take the time off
On Tuesday, Query hand-delivered the donations to the clerk, posting the presentation on social media.
People from all over donated to the cause, and the check to the clerk was for more than $7,000.
Query called it proof that "people are good."
