KOKOMO, Ind. (WTHR) - A Kokomo man was hit and killed on old US 31 early Thursday morning.
The victim was identified as Rudy A. Resendez, 59, according to Kokomo Police.
KPD Maj. Brian Seldon said Resendez was struck on the southbound side of SR-931 just north of Markland Avenue shortly before 5:45 a.m.
Part of the road was closed while investigators worked at the scene, but reopened by mid-morning.
The driver stopped and is cooperating with police.
