INDIANAPOLIS — A musical group hoping to gain support for Ukraine in its war with Russia was in Indianapolis on Saturday.
"Cultural Forces" is a group made up of Ukrainian musicians who are a part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Its members served on the frontlines during some of the fiercest battles of the war.
Their performances include Ukrainian music, world classics and even covers of popular music.
On June 22, the group made a tour stop at the Indianapolis Artsgarden.
"Right now, we create Cultural Forces International is the group, which has purpose here in the United States and different countries to show the war in Ukraine through the culture," said Mykolai Sierga, commander of the Ukrainian Cultural Forces.
The "Cultural Forces Tour" continues through the end of the month with performances scheduled in Pittsburgh, Dallas and Washington.
