WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WTHR) — The scholarship created in honor of late Purdue student and super fan Tyler Trent is now open for applications.
The Tyler Trent Courage and Resilience Award will go to undergraduate Purdue students who have persevered through physical adversity during their quest for a college education.
Trent courageously battled cancer before his death Jan. 1, 2019. He was diagnosed with osteosarcoma bone cancer at 15 years old. He was 20 when he died.
Students must attend Purdue's West Lafayette campus to qualify for the scholarship. First-year through senior students are eligible.
Students can nominate themselves, or others can nominate students for the award. To apply for the scholarship, click here.
