Two people escaped an early morning house fire on Hancock County 600 West near the CSX tracks that run along Brookville Road.
The fire started shortly before 2:45 a.m.
Crews from Sugar Creek found the house fully involved when they arrived, and needed more than a half hour to gain control of the blaze.
The cause is under investigation.
