INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Tornado touchdowns were reported in Hendricks and Boone Counties Monday evening. Severe storms also struck Tipton and Howard Counties.
Damage reports include buildings damaged or destroyed in Clayton, Indiana, along with tree limbs and trees down in Brownsburg.
"I was in the bathroom and the wind started picking up and I looked out and the trees were like doubling over. I headed down the hallway. It happened so fast that by the time I got to the bathroom that I was gonna get in the tub, it was done," said Barbara, a Clayton resident.
The first tornado warning of the evening was issued before 6:00 pm and was extended for southeastern Boone and northeastern Hendricks County until 6:45 pm. A third tornado warning remains in effect until 7:15 pm for northwestern Hamilton and northeastern Boone Counties.
Another tornado warning was issued until 7:45 p.m. for Hamilton and Tipton counties. Another warning was issued for Tipton and Howard Counties until 8:15 pm.
At 6:36 pm, a confirmed tornado was located near Zionsville moving northeast at 25 mph.
A confirmed tornado was located over Danville at around 5:52 pm and law enforcement confirmed potential funnel clouds.
The tornado is moving northeast at 25 mph.
