INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - We continue our week testing out "As Seen on TV" products with a hair tool that promises to take your hair from "frizzy to straight or curled in minutes."
The InStyler Ionic Styler is a 4-in-1 curling brush that we tested with with stylist Brooke Baker at Studio 2000 Salon in downtown Indianapolis.
Baker plugged in the InStyler, separated her model's hair into sections and started curling.
"I feel like for longer hair, it kind of seems to get stuck. But it is smoothing nicely," Baker said. "For someone with long hair, it might not be the best option."
The InStyler got tangled in the model's hair several times during the trial.
"Her hair has a pretty smooth texture so you wouldn't think that it would get stuck," Baker said.
Baker thought the tool might work better on shorter hair.
The InStyler Ionic Styler is sold at several retailers including Ulta, Walmart and Target. It typically costs around $50.
Naomi reached out to the company that makes the Instyler to hear what they thought of the review. She has not yet heard back.
