A two-day celebration of the 30th anniversary of "Hoosiers" was capped off Saturday with the return of a piece of memorabilia from the iconic film.
Fans of the film joined dignitaries at Hoosier Gym in Knightstown, Ind.--location of the perfectly-preserved gymnasium where Hickory played its home games in the movie. A ceremony featured the return and unveiling of the fictional team photo of the Huskers. The picture could be seen hanging on the gym wall in the film.
The team pic had been missing for three decades because a collector bought it from the movie production staff. The photo had been hanging in Dennis Neidorf's garage in Los Angeles the past 30 years.
Plans call for the picture to be re-hung at Hoosier Gym, and a plaque added identifying the photo and its significance.
