Juvenile in critical condition following IMPD police pursuit

The suspect car crashed into a tree while trying to evade police early Tuesday morning.

INDIANAPOLIS — Suspects are in custody after a police chase and burglary Tuesday morning.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were patrolling the 2900 block of Kentucky Avenue after reports of a burglary when a nearby car sped away and tried to evade following officers.

During the pursuit, the suspect car missed a slight turn and ended up off the street where they crashed into a tree, according to IMPD.

After the crash, two adult and one juvenile immediately fled the vehicle, while another juvenile was located inside the car and transported to a local hospital in critical condition, according to IMPD.

This investigation is ongoing.
