INDIANAPOLIS — If you're cooking out for Fourth of July, you should expect your grocery bill to be higher this year compared to last.
The annual July 4th Market Basket Survey by the American Farm Bureau says prices in their report have gone up 5%.
It estimates feeding ten people for the holiday celebration will cost about $71.
The price for the same basket of goods is up 30% from five years ago, according to the survey.
Meat products get most of the blame. AFB says that category currently puts the biggest dent in grocery budgets, but bread and milk are also more expensive this year.
