INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Being in the hospital is hard, especially if you're a kid, hooked up to equipment and not feeling so great.
On Wednesday, some larger-than-life characters sprung into action to lift the spirits of dozens of young patients.
They're window washers by day who magically turn into superheroes, scaling walls and dropping in on patients at IU Health Riley Hospital for Children.
“The kids don't know any difference, they just see us as Ironman, Captain America, it's fun. I enjoy it a lot,” said one of them.
“You see big smiles, something you don't see every day,” another character said.
Their high-flying antics played well for the patients in the 9th floor playroom.
“There's spider man over there. he's upside down!”
Korey Mosley even created his own superhero who he calls Mega Man.
“Heroes are part of determination, they never give up even when the going gets tough. Like superman near Kryptonite, he still keeps going no matter what,” Mosley said.
It’s something Korey and others here know well.
These guys would have preferred to hang out at Riley all day but they would soon be called into action, called to go after some bad guys... but no worries, they vowed they would be back.
