INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Mayor Joe Hogsett and other community members gathered Thursday afternoon to dedicate a bronze casted statue serves as a daily reminder of the 350 on duty firefighters protecting Indianapolis.
With a watchful eye, the firefighter will stand guard outside the newly renovated Firefighters Union Hall 24/7/365.
His presence, reminiscent of those who have gone before us and protecting those who still answer the call.
Titled "Duty - Honor - Sacrifice" the sculpture took 4 months and over 200 hours to create.
The statue is on display at the Local 416 campus at 748 Massachusetts Ave
