INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Indiana has a new, state of the art facility to treat mental health issues, the state's first psychiatric hospital in 50 years.
The Neuro-Diagnostic Institute will bring advanced evaluation and treatment to Hoosiers.
Doctors hope the new center, 5435 E 16th St, Indianapolis, will help them quickly and accurately diagnose patients.
"It's based on a rather simple concept that an integrated place of care where we can take care of the physical aspects of peoples illnesses as well as their behavioral issues would hasten their recovery and return them to their communities," said Dr. Jerry Sheward, medical director.
The new hospital will also focus on treating children.
There will be units designed to treat substance abuse and kids on the autism spectrum.
