INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Wednesday afternoon, IU Health Methodist Hospital celebrated the 300th COVID-19 patient being discharged.
James Seekie came to the hospital in critical condition on April 24.
As he left the hospital, he blew kisses and raised his hand in triumph as the medical staff cheered for him.
“The fact that this happened on Nurses Day of all days was incredibly poetic and meaningful for all of us. It’s patients like this and the joy we felt today that keeps us going,” said Tracie Davis, registered nurse, IU Health Methodist Hospital.
