A 45-foot-long glass slide that sits 1,000 feet above the ground outside the U.S. Bank Tower in downtown Los Angeles. It opens to the public Saturday.
For $8, thrill-seekers can climb into the 1 ¼-inch-thick tube called the Skyslide, and take the nearly-straight shot down, except for a small turn at the beginning that causes riders to bump against the side of the glass.
The slide is part of a $50 million renovation that includes an open-air observation desk and a bar.
