Several statues unveiled Tuesday in museum's Sports Legends Experience

The Children's Museum unveiled several statues honoring the best athletes and coaches in Indiana history Tuesday.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — There's another reason to visit the Riley Children's Sports Legends Experience at the Children's Museum.

On Tuesday, the museum unveiled several statues honoring the best sports figures in Indiana history.

That includes former Pacers coach and announcer Bobby "Slick" Leonard, next to Pacers star Reggie Miller.

Retired Fever great Tamika Catchings was there Tuesday to see her statue.

There's also Oscar Robertson, who led Crispus Attucks to two state basketball championships before playing for the University of Cincinnati and winning an NBA Championship with the Milwaukee Bucks.

There's a statue of southern Indiana native Larry Bird, depicting both his days at Indiana State and with the Boston Celtics.

Statues of Colts legend Reggie Wayne and racing great AJ Foyt are also standing at the exhibit.
