SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WTHR) - Two drivers survived with only minor injuries after a horrific head-on crash near the Indianpolis Motor Speedway late Wednesday.
Just before 11 p.m., emergency crews were called to West 25th Street near Georgetown Road for the crash of a car and an SUV.
Both drivers were trapped inside their mangled vehicles.
It took 25 minutes for Indianapolis and Speedway firefighters to pull the drivers out.
Both were taken to Eskenazi Hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
