FISHERS, Ind. — Seniors at the Northridge Gracious Retirement Living Center in Fishers hosted their first “Senior Bikini Car Wash” on Friday and Saturday.
The group is hoping to raise enough money to purchase a projector and screen to watch drive-in movies in the dining hall.
Several cars stopped by to get the special treatment, with some saying it’s the best car wash in town and others giving them a thumbs up.
“With the pandemic going on and the seniors being stuck indoors we are finding more ways to have a lot more fun and staying active indoors,” said Denise Mirro, the activities and fitness director for the center. “They are so much happier. Senior can’t be locked up. We can’t be isolated like that. We have to be out and about having fun, socializing with other people.”
For these seniors, a little bit of laughter and dancing is all they needed.
