Family and pet walk raising money for Indianapolis nonprofits

From 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., participants will check in with their charity, with the walk taking place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 19.

INDIANAPOLIS — The 20th anniversary of a family and pet walk to raise money for local nonprofits is happening Sunday, May 19.

Walking for Dreams' Indianapolis walk begins at Crown Hill Cemetery, located at 700 W. 38th St., near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street.

From 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., participants will check in with their charity, with the walk taking place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Participating Indianapolis nonprofits for the 2024 walk include:

  • Sycamore Foundation
  • East Tenth United Methodist Church and Youth Center
  • Edna Martin Christian Community Center
  • Indiana Family to Family
  • Indiana Kids Belong
  • Outreach
  • Seeds of Hope
  • Visually Impaired Preschool Services
  • 100 Black Men of Indianapolis
  • Saint Florian Center, Inc.
  • Dayspring Center Inc.
