Security guard allegedly tries to assault women at party on IU Bloomington's campus

Police received the report of attempted sexual assault and fondling on Thursday, Oct. 17 at a fraternity in the 1500 block of North David Baker Avenue.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — IU Police are investigating after a security guard allegedly fondled three women and tried to assault one of them in Bloomington. 

The guard, who has not been identified, was working at a fraternity party on campus in the 1500 block of David Baker Avenue, near State Road 45. The crimes were allegedly committed between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17.

IU police say the guard was working for a company that was on IU's list of approved vendors. The university has "initiated internal processes to remove the vendor from the approved vendor list due to the allegations." 

Police described the guard as a man between the ages of 18 and 30.
