Hancock County - The National Weather Service says it's confirmed another tornado that struck Greenfield during last Tuesday's outbreak.
Eight tornadoes struck locations across central Indiana after a low pressure system moved through the state Oct. 26th, causing significant but isolated damage. Now the NWS says an EF0 tornado with winds up to 85 mph occurred about ten miles northeast of Greenfield (2.4 miles northwest of Wilkinson along Nashville Road in northeast Hancock County.)
The damage was previously thought to have been caused by straight line winds. The NWS says the tornado was on the ground for about half a mile, destroying several outbuildings and causing major damage to one home.
